Oven Fire

At approximately 5:58PM on Saturday, January 18th, 2014  Worcester County EOC alerted Snow Hill Vol Fire Co. for a reported oven fire. Snow Hill's Ems unit arrived and advised that the fire was extinguished but thick smoke conditions where present in the residence and assistance with smoke removal was needed. Engine 4-01 arrived and immediately placed a positive pressure ventilation fan in service to assist with smoke removal.  The fire was extinguished prior to fire dept arrival by the home owner with a fire extinguisher.
