Now Hiring for Full-Time Firefighter / EMS Provider

 

Applications are now being accepted for Full-Time Firefighter / EMS Provider vacancies. Currently, the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company has three (3) vacancies for which this position can be filled. Shifts will be 24 hours on, 72 hours off. Starting salary for fy24 for the Firefighter / Paramedic position is $55,770.00, inclusive of built in overtime. Starting salary for FY24 for the Firefighter / EMT-B position is $45,630.00, inclusive of built in overtime.

Applications from single - role MEDICAL providers will be accepted. Personnel holding valid Firefighter 1 certification are preferred, but applications for EMT-B, or EMT-P only will be accepted and given opportunity for employment.

Position Requirements :

- Maryland EMT-B or Maryland EMT-P

- ProBoard Firefighter 1 or higher

- Valid Drivers license with a clean driving record

- Ability to pass: 

Background Check

Drug Screening Test

NFPA 1582 physical

After receipt of application, candidate will be scheduled for a formal interview. Application process will remain open until filled. Hired candidates will be subject to a 6-month probationary period. All employees are expected to obtain Maryland Class B license and Pump operator within one year of hire.
